Charlie Chaplin - The Great Dictator

I was looking through a few of my favorites on youtube and came across this speech. Honestly this is one of the most moving speeches I’ve ever heard. I feel like what he says about TV and radio is particularly important. I feel like people use these things to alienate others and it creates so much hostility which is the exact opposite of what these things were created for. I do believe on some base level all of humanity wants to help each other. We’ve simply been taught to care for ourselves and no one else. For anyone looking for a “meaning of life” or “reason for living” this is it. Simple coexistence. We are meant to help each other. Once people understand that I feel like the world has a chance of seeing it’s full potential. People need to simply understand that we are not nations, nor races, nor religions. We are humanity. One unified species.
